Cybertruck's Resilience Shines in Elon Musk's Weapon Testing Revelation

Elon Musk, the visionary CEO of Tesla, revealed that the Cybertruck, known for its futuristic design and robust build, has undergone a series of weapon tests, showcasing its exceptional durability. The revelations were made during Musk's recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, shedding light on the Cybertruck's resilience against various forms of firepower.

One notable weapon used in the testing was a Tommy gun, which left pockmarks on the Cybertruck's surface. However, Musk hinted that this iconic firearm was just one of the many arms employed to assess the pickup's toughness. The Cybertruck was also subjected to shotgun demonstrations, as well as attempts to breach its 30x cold-rolled stainless steel body with 9mm and .45 ACP ammunition, with the former displaying a surprising advantage over the Automatic Colt Pistol (ACP) bullets.

Despite the barrage of shots, none of the projectiles managed to pierce the Cybertruck's stainless steel exterior. Musk proudly declared, "it comes that way from the factory," highlighting the pickup's innate resilience.


During the podcast, the conversation took an intriguing turn when Joe Rogan, the show's host, expressed his interest in testing the Cybertruck's mettle with a compound bow. Musk graciously accepted the challenge, leading to an impromptu demonstration in the studio's parking area. Rogan attempted to penetrate the Cybertruck's body with broadhead arrows, typically designed for soft tissues, but the pickup's armor proved impenetrable, further underscoring its exceptional durability.

The Cybertruck's robust construction relies on high-quality stainless steel panels sourced from the Finnish company Outokumpu. To meet the specific requirements of the Cybertruck's design, Outokumpu has tailored its manufacturing process, ensuring the steel's exceptional strength and resilience.

However, Musk acknowledged that the crafting process is novel and intricate, hinting at production challenges. He anticipates that Tesla will only be able to manufacture approximately 17,000 Cybertrucks per month when production reaches its peak, expected sometime in mid-2025.

For future Cybertruck owners, these weapon tests reaffirm the vehicle's reputation for exceptional toughness and demonstrate its capacity to withstand firearms and even arrows.
